Health & Safety & Take-Away At Onyx

At Onyx, nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our customers and employees.  In our restaurant, we are putting a great deal of emphasis on the procedures that support our high standards in the areas of cleanliness and health. Some of the most important areas of focus are:

• Ensuring that our 20-second handwashing practices are rigorously followed, on arrival and regularly throughout the day.

• Strictly requiring employees who don’t feel well to stay home from work and to notify us immediately if they have any risk of contact from someone recently returning from overseas travel.

• Frequently disinfecting (with commercial-grade sanitisers) commonly touched surfaces in all areas of the restaurant.

Under our Food Control Plan (which is audited and verified regularly by the Waipa District Council) we already have strict processes and procedures in place to ensure everything is maintained, clean and hygienic. We have never had any issues in this regard and we take great pride in constantly working hard to keep our restaurant clean and a safe eating environment for our valued customers. We remind customers that we have our takeaway service available too if you wish to phone in your order then come in and collect it at a specified time.  All meals from both our Day & Dinner Menus are available for takeaway from 11.30 am - 3.00 pm & 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm. We pride ourselves on serving delicious food in a sanitary, safe environment, always.
