Onyx Restaurant, is based in the heart of Cambridge, New Zealand offering a warm and welcoming environment, quality service and fantastic food.
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and passionate Front of Manager to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our restaurant. This full-time role will see the FOH Manager responsible for managing a team (approximately 12) along with greeting customers, handling function enquiries, overseeing restaurant supplies, cash management, ensuring that the dining facilities complies with health regulations, recruiting and training staff as required, maintaining stock levels and ensuring an exceptional level of customer service is received by our patrons.
This role will involve evening and weekend work so you will need to be able to work a variety of hours.
So who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role (FOH Manager, Maitre D, Assistant Manager)
A current Manager’s Certificate and LCQ
The ability to train, engage coach and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service
Exceptional customer service skills
The ability to recognise and implement procedural improvements where appropriate
Excellent communication skills
An outgoing, positive and confident attitude
A healthy sense of humour
Passion for delivering a great experience every time!
